Description

  • Install, maintain, diagnose, adjust, repair, upgrade, and modify retail POS equipment and related technologies.
  • Travel to customer locations within an assigned territory or nationally for installations, relocations, discontinuances, and service projects.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment and system issues independently, including by phone with store personnel.
  • Communicate work status, issues, schedules, and customer satisfaction updates to customers, management, and team members.
  • Plan, prioritize, schedule, and complete service activities while responding to schedule changes and customer commitments.
  • Document installations, service calls, mileage, travel, timecards, and expenses using required systems and reports.
  • Manage trunk stock and maintain the parts and equipment needed to support customers.
  • Assist less-experienced service representatives and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 4+ years of related experience; an IT or technical degree or certificate is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 100% domestically, including regular air travel when required.
  • Operational knowledge of personal computers, network infrastructure, monitors, televisions, cash registers, POS systems, and retail devices.
  • Experience with broad IT service and support and the ability to diagnose signal, power, and low-voltage wiring systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and competency in electricity, electronics, test equipment, electric meters, and basic hand tools.
  • Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, follow written and spoken instructions, and maintain professional customer relationships.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and long hours based on project needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use ladders or lifts, and work while standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting.
  • Must be legally authorized to work without immigration or work visa sponsorship.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $50,000–$56,000 CAD.
