Description

  • Process daily credit transactions in accordance with credit policy and procedures.
  • Maintain records and files for all credit transactions, including correspondence and documents.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis, including spreading and analyzing financial statements.
  • Review financial statements, tax returns, agency and credit reports, and interview and investigation sheets for prospective and active borrowing accounts.
  • Analyze borrower data to assess short- and long-term prospects for individuals and companies.
  • Make recommendations on granting or denying loans to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare documentation to support credit recommendations and loan decisions, if assigned to a lending function.
  • Suggest loan grades after completing credit analysis and documentation review.
  • Ensure all credit analysis activities comply with prescribed lending policy.
  • Document financial analysis work, including ratios, cash flow, collateral analysis, and related information.
  • Accompany Commercial Lenders to customer meetings when needed.
  • Provide leadership, on-the-job training, and technical guidance to other credit analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; specialized financial analysis training is preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Credit Analyst required.
  • Experience preparing credit presentations.
  • Experience managing, processing, and tracking annual reviews for necessary credits.
  • Thorough knowledge of current lending and loan review regulations, banking regulations, procedures, and operations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial statements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software and experience working in a digital office environment.
