Description

  • Deliver one-on-one 25-minute conversational and assessment-based English lessons to adult Japanese students.
  • Teach English to learners across all CEFR levels, from absolute beginner to advanced.
  • Work assigned shifts and manage 5-minute breaks between consecutive classes.
  • Cover classes for absent teachers when additional lessons are available.
  • Provide brief encouraging feedback after each class.
  • Adapt teaching to each student’s level, pace, and learning needs.
  • Maintain a professional, student-focused presence in an online teaching environment.
  • Respond to schedule changes and remain aware of assigned teaching hours.

Requirements

  • A 3-year National Diploma or higher is required.
  • A completed, accredited 120-hour TEFL certificate or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1 year of ESL teaching experience is required.
  • Ability to teach English across all CEFR proficiency levels, from absolute beginner to advanced.
  • Completion of a demo lesson as part of the application process.
  • Strong clear communication, patience, and empathy with learners.
  • Positive attitude, professional presence, and strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic, student-driven environment and solve problems effectively.
  • Must have a computer with at least a 2GHz processor, 4 CPU, and 8GB RAM.
  • Must have fibre internet with LAN cable and minimum 20 Mbps upload/download speed, plus backup power, webcam, noise-cancelling headset, and a quiet private teaching space.
