Description

  • Maintain and enhance a live, feature-complete production platform.
  • Build new features across both backend and frontend components.
  • Deliver incremental improvements to backend APIs.
  • Support the Studio product in a production environment.
  • Work primarily on backend development while contributing to frontend work as needed.
  • Independently design and document APIs.
  • Follow existing codebase patterns, engineering practices, and deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with an existing engineering team while managing day-to-day work independently.
  • Support containerised services deployed through the current cloud setup.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the engineering workflow.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with Node.js and/or NestJS.
  • 3+ years of experience with Angular and 1.5 years with React.
  • 3+ years of experience with Docker and/or Docker Compose.
  • 4+ years of experience with REST API design.
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • 2+ years of experience with Swagger and/or API documentation, or strong API discipline.
  • 1+ year of working experience with AI tools such as Claude, MCP, LLM APIs, or similar.
  • Mid to senior level engineering experience.
  • 4–6 years of minimum professional experience, with 8+ years ideal.
  • Ability to independently design and document APIs.
  • Ability to work mostly independently while collaborating with an existing team.
  • Ability to follow established patterns in an existing codebase and deployment pipeline.
  • 1+ year of experience with microservices architecture (preferred).
