Description

  • Build and maintain business unit dashboards and board reporting packages in Syft.
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis, including month-over-month and budget-versus-actual reviews, for GM reviews.
  • Partner with business unit general managers to understand reporting needs and explain revenue, expense, and margin drivers.
  • Support month-end close by completing reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and account reviews.
  • Own deferred revenue recognition across SaaS products.
  • Coordinate intercompany and cross-business-unit transactions and ensure close tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Own Ramp expense reporting, expense categorization, and trend analysis.
  • Review expense coding for accuracy and consistency and flag anomalies or policy issues.
  • Maintain reporting templates and improve data integrity between QuickBooks, Ramp, Syft, and other platforms.
  • Document financial processes, strengthen controls, support audit preparation, and identify process improvements.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of accounting or finance operations experience.
  • Experience with month-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Experience working in multi-entity or multi-business-unit environments.
  • Strong analytical ability to explain variances and investigate underlying business drivers.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar cloud accounting platforms.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Understanding of US GAAP fundamentals.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Clear written English communication for asynchronous collaboration.
  • Availability for 4–5 hours of overlap with US Eastern Time.
  • Preferred: SaaS, technology, or e-commerce experience, including familiarity with deferred revenue, MRR, and cohorts.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with expense management platforms such as Ramp, Expensify, or Brex.
  • Preferred: Experience with financial reporting or BI tools such as Syft, Fathom, or QuickBooks.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting business unit leaders or non-finance stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Experience improving financial processes or building reporting infrastructure.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
