Description

  • Upgrade and develop satellite flight software for customer spacecraft platforms.
  • Own flight software work across the lifecycle, from requirements definition through operations.
  • Develop tools to analyze flight software performance and compatibility with new missions and concepts of operations.
  • Develop and execute unit, module, subsystem, and platform-level flight software tests.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to install and validate software in hardware-in-the-loop environments and on flight hardware.
  • Investigate anomalies and patch existing flight software.
  • Develop systems- and mission-level modeling, simulation, and payload software models for ground testing.
  • Assess software impacts of new hardware, missions, and concepts of operations.
  • Support internal and customer/vendor working groups, proposal writing, and new-business efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related scientific field; master's degree preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 6 years with a master's degree.
  • Proficiency in C/C++.
  • Experience with aerospace hardware and/or software systems across concept development, design, integration, test, deployment, and operations.
  • Ability to work independently, learn new domains, and take ownership of complex assignments.
  • Expertise in one or more areas including embedded software, device drivers, hardware/software interfaces, or real-time operating systems.
  • Experience with embedded software debugging, testing, functional validation, or hardware-in-the-loop simulation.
  • Experience with software requirements and configuration management, software safety assurance, cybersecurity, network configuration, or GNC algorithms is preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
