Description

  • Enhance security throughout application development processes and projects.
  • Evaluate and optimize security tools and explore technologies that improve security posture and scalability.
  • Conduct internal penetration testing and code reviews.
  • Create, update, and maintain threat models for software projects.
  • Use AI to automate security workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Advise developers on secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and proactive security practices.
  • Analyze source code regularly to identify and support remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Communicate security project and program status to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Develop security training materials and guide internal software development teams.
  • Support incident response activities.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of scripting and software development experience, preferably supporting web applications.
  • 2–3 years of cloud engineering experience, preferably with Infrastructure as Code in AWS.
  • Familiarity with Claude AI and other AI tools, including agentic AI for automation.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and standards, including OWASP, OWASP ASVS, S-SDLC, and BSIMM.
  • Experience assessing and prioritizing technical risk using sound judgment.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of security tools, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and remove process and technology bottlenecks for teammates.
  • Experience with NIST and HIPAA frameworks is preferred.

Benefits

  • $62.00 per hour compensation.
