Description

  • Deliver live virtual and onsite cybersecurity classes, tabletop exercises, and Capture the Flag events for enterprise clients.
  • Design industry-specific threat scenarios and author CTF challenges.
  • Build and configure vulnerable lab, sandbox, and cloud-based training environments.
  • Facilitate incident-response decision workflows, technical walkthroughs, post-exercise debriefs, and remediation discussions.
  • Provide practical instruction across incident response, Red/Blue/Purple team exercises, and related security topics.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, MITRE ATT&CK techniques, and industry security standards.
  • Create an engaging, inclusive learning environment for technical and leadership audiences.
  • Monitor the Instructor Portal, respond to class opportunities, and communicate promptly with Pluralsight project managers.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and Pluralsight teams to assess security readiness and support successful delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in areas such as incident response, SOC/threat hunting, penetration testing, or security engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience facilitating technical training, hosting CTFs, or leading incident-response tabletop exercises.
  • Expertise in one or more areas including tabletop exercise design, CTF development, threat frameworks, incident-response playbooks, security tooling, scripting, or cloud sandboxing.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Incident Response, and OWASP Top 10.
  • Experience with relevant tools and technologies such as Python, Bash, Wireshark, Splunk, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Docker, CTFd, or cloud environments.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills for executive and technical audiences.
  • Ability to deliver virtual sessions and travel for onsite training as needed.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional home-office setup.
  • Legal authorization to work as an independent contractor.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience preferred; cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, OSCP, CEH, GRID, or Security+ are a plus.
