Description

Transcribe legal audio for trials, administrative hearings, historical and investigational interviews, and meetings.
Produce accurate verbatim transcripts in the format provided by the company.
Review and proofread transcripts before submission to ensure accuracy.
Submit completed transcripts in a timely manner according to deadlines.
Use FTP to receive source materials and return completed work.
Maintain consistent productivity of at least 3 hours of audio transcription per week.

Requirements

Excellent command of the English language.
Government Security Clearance is required.
Must be a US citizen.
Must be able to transcribe at least 3 hours of audio per week.
Accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
High-speed internet connection required.
Internet research skills required.
Must use WordPerfect and/or MS Word on a Windows operating system.
Required software includes FTR Player, ExpressScribe, and FileZilla.
Must type at least 60 WPM.
Legal transcription experience is required.
AAERT certification is a plus.
Optional USB foot pedal (Infinity model recommended).
