Description

  • Contribute to the client’s product strategy and help define the future of the merchant service.
  • Explore complex and ambiguous problem spaces with the team to identify opportunities and directions forward.
  • Influence the team’s product development approach and help shape organizational processes.
  • Design and run qualitative and quantitative research studies, including interviews, contextual inquiry, diary studies, and surveys.
  • Use AI-powered tools to accelerate synthesis, pattern recognition, and insight delivery at scale.
  • Help improve the experience of millions of merchants every day.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to turn research insights into product decisions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of demonstrable experience in UX research, product research, or a related field.
  • Strong command of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Proven ability to define research questions, select methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings independently.
  • Track record of research directly leading to launched product features or innovations.
  • Experience working with merchants, restaurants, or similar B2B audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong storytelling ability.
  • Active use of AI tools to support research workflows such as synthesis, pattern recognition, and insight delivery.
  • Strategic thinking and strong ability to build cross-functional partnerships.
  • Prior experience at a marketplace-based company is preferred.
  • MA/MS or PhD in HCI, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple audience types within a marketplace, such as merchant and consumer contexts, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with product analytics and data tools is a plus.
