Description

  • Set up and run fluid simulations using CAD geometry.
  • Create verified reference solutions for AI agent training and evaluation.
  • Perform meshing and mesh-independence studies.
  • Validate simulation results against experiments or established benchmarks.
  • Write Python-based checks to assess AI agent simulation results.
  • Apply CFD expertise to real-world technology projects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field such as energy or oil and gas.
  • PhD in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
  • Several years of hands-on industry or research CFD experience.
  • Experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+, including meshing.
  • Knowledge of verification and validation practices, including mesh-independence studies and validation against experiments or benchmarks.
  • Proficiency with Python and GitHub.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or above.
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore, or turbomachinery is preferred.
  • Experience with multiphase or particle-laden flows is preferred.
  • Availability to contribute an estimated 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.
