Description

  • Apply the communicative approach and Mango methodology in online French instruction.
  • Prepare personalized blended learning sessions using proprietary Mango Languages tools.
  • Coach and assess professional learners, as well as their spouses and children when applicable.
  • Evaluate students’ language proficiency and provide regular progress reports.
  • Manage multiple individual and group students across different schedules and proficiency levels.
  • Maintain attendance records, student schedules, and syllabi.
  • Teach between 10 and 30 hours per week, usually during US working hours.
  • Complete approximately 8–12 hours of initial online training, paid by Mango Languages.

Requirements

  • Native speaker of French.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Proven experience teaching French to English speakers, or a degree in language teaching or applied linguistics, or a teaching certification.
  • Passion for learning and teaching language and culture.
  • Experience using technology in live online language instruction preferred.
  • Ability to learn new technologies; experience with Zoom, Google Suite, and similar tools preferred.
  • Availability to commit to 10–30 hours per week, usually during US working hours.
  • Ability to submit a resume and cover letter in English.
  • Ability to submit a brief introductory video in both English and French.
  • Comfort working as a remote contractor from anywhere in the world.
