Description

  • Assess the technical feasibility of integrating Agri-PV systems with existing and new solar irrigation pump infrastructure in Bangladesh.
  • Develop and optimize Agri-PV system simulations to maximize energy generation under local solar and climate conditions.
  • Create calibrated crop growth models using field agronomic data and photosynthetic light-response analysis.
  • Evaluate crop performance under different direct and diffuse light conditions and recommend suitable crops.
  • Produce agronomic, PV layout, structural, and business model design outputs for two pilot sites.
  • Retrofit an existing multi-leg solar PV structure at the ESDO Gorgori site in Alamdanga.
  • Design a new elevated monopole Agri-PV structure for a second ESDO site.
  • Perform PV layout optimization, energy yield assessment, and irrigation-energy integration analysis.
  • Complete structural engineering analysis, including wind load, foundation assessment, drawings, and reinforcement recommendations.
  • Develop technical recommendations for pilot implementation, scale-up, cost evaluation, and financial viability.
  • Prepare a final integrated technical report covering agronomic, energy, structural, and cost considerations.

Requirements

  • Valid company registration certificate in the country of incorporation.
  • Company profile showing legal status, year of establishment, office locations, and areas of expertise.
  • Valid tax registration certificate, where applicable.
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in solar PV system design, including ground-mounted and elevated structures.
  • Proven experience in Agri-PV design, including structural design, agronomic assessment, crop simulation, and energy yield analysis.
  • Experience working in South Asia or comparable agro-climatic contexts, preferably Bangladesh or India.
  • 10 or more years of experience in solar PV system design is desirable.
  • Strong expertise in PV layout optimization, tilt angle and orientation analysis, and energy yield modeling, including bifacial systems where applicable.
  • Experience in elevated solar PV structural design, including wind load assessment, structural stability analysis, and foundation design.
  • Experience in techno-economic analysis, including cost benchmarking and energy-agriculture trade-off assessment.
  • Demonstrated completion of at least 4–5 similar assignments.
  • Experience with development organizations, public sector agencies, or donor-funded projects is an advantage.
