Description

  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex service and infrastructure issues across client environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, identity services, Active Directory, Exchange, servers, virtualization, endpoints, networking, and firewalls.
  • Own troubleshooting end-to-end from root cause analysis through permanent resolution.
  • Lead escalation support for advanced networking issues, including firewalls, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, NAT, and site-to-site connectivity.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure to maintain stability, security, and scalability.
  • Resolve complex tickets directly rather than reassigning them, improving resolution time and customer experience.
  • Identify systemic issues behind recurring escalations and drive permanent fixes.
  • Create clear documentation and resolution notes to improve the troubleshooting capability of L1/L2 engineers.
  • Partner with service leadership to improve standards, workflows, and overall service velocity.
  • Collaborate with L1/L2 engineers and project teams to troubleshoot advanced issues and strengthen service delivery.

Requirements

  • Senior-level MSP support experience with the ability to independently resolve complex tickets across multiple technology domains.
  • Proven experience working as an L3 or senior escalation engineer in a managed services environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure, including identity, access, and core services.
  • Experience supporting Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server, and common server roles.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent.
  • Experience with endpoint management and standard MSP tooling, including RMM, PSA, backup, and security tools.
  • Solid practical networking experience, including firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and subnetting.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred: deep expertise in networking and firewalls within MSP client environments, including Fortinet, SonicWall, Meraki, or similar.
  • Preferred: experience designing or remediating complex or problematic client networks.
  • Preferred: background supporting hybrid cloud environments and network-integrated cloud services.
  • Preferred: experience mentoring or upskilling L1/L2 engineers through documentation, shadowing, or technical guidance.
  • Preferred: familiarity with automation, scripting, or process improvement initiatives in an MSP.
  • Preferred: experience working in organizations leveraging offshore or distributed service teams.
