Description

  • Design realistic coding tasks involving feature implementation and bug fixes.
  • Create tasks reflecting authentic backend engineering workflows and software development challenges.
  • Develop deterministic verifiers that accept valid solutions and reject incorrect implementations.
  • Build and validate solutions using languages such as Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, or C++.
  • Develop tasks involving scalable services, APIs, debugging, performance optimization, and automated testing.
  • Review code for quality, maintainability, correctness, and technical compliance.
  • Design evaluation criteria that distinguish robust solutions from superficial implementations.
  • Incorporate relevant security considerations into tasks and verifiers.
  • Document assumptions, expected behavior, edge cases, and validation requirements.
  • Apply independent technical judgment throughout task development and review.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on backend development experience with Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, C++, or a comparable language.
  • Experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Practical experience with debugging, performance optimization, and automated testing.
  • Experience reviewing code and assessing software quality, correctness, and maintainability.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and foundational computer science concepts.
  • Ability to independently analyze technical problems and develop reliable solutions.
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills.
  • Senior Software Engineer applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an institution in an English-native country, such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Ireland.
