Description

  • Build and prioritize external delivery options based on scale, speed, feasibility, and cost.
  • Conduct diligence with prospective partners, regulators, and legal counsel to reach clear recommendations.
  • Advance selected opportunities from evaluation through live pilot implementation.
  • Define requirements, issue RFPs or similar solicitations, and evaluate proposals.
  • Negotiate agreements with UN agencies, INGOs, mobile network operators, governments, and other institutional partners.
  • Prepare concise analysis and recommendations for Executive team decisions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional internal work and manage selected counterparty relationships.

Requirements

  • Director- or Team Lead-level experience in consulting, strategy, or operations.
  • Experience independently turning broad, ambiguous mandates into prioritized strategies and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including comparable estimates and scenario-based evaluation of different options.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing high-stakes strategic decisions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to assess institutional incentives, compliance requirements, and partnership viability.
  • Clear, direct written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously without an established playbook or dedicated team.
  • Commitment to GiveDirectly’s values and safeguarding standards.
  • Experience with humanitarian or institutional donors, UN agencies, INGOs, mobile money, telecommunications, payments, grantmaking, due diligence, cost-effectiveness analysis, competitive solicitations, data-sharing agreements, or low-income markets preferred.

Benefits

  • Term-limited role funded through December 2027, with potential to become permanent.
  • United States base salary of $131,250, $21,393 benefits stipend, and 15% bonus target.
  • United Kingdom base salary of £91,900, £2,760 benefits stipend, and 15% bonus target.
  • Kenya base salary of $106,280, $8,454 benefits stipend, and 15% bonus target.
  • Employee referral rewards of $3,000 for Senior Manager-or-above hires and $500 for Manager hires.
