Description

  • Partner with Product and leadership to define goals, success criteria, and decision records.
  • Maintain and update rules, restrictions, and balance lists based on team input and data.
  • Propose, evaluate, and approve gameplay or systems changes as needed.
  • Review economy and content using playtest results and player feedback to meet design targets.
  • Define and tune economies, rewards, and pacing against product and market goals.
  • Translate new content or features into user stories and prioritize the backlog.
  • Prepare presentation materials and secure stakeholder sign-off across Product and Game Design.
  • Coordinate player-facing communications with Marketing and Community teams.
  • Configure live tools to set up test builds and events across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Manage release readiness, including staging, content lock, production submissions, and outcome tracking.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of product management experience for games, with LiveOps and hands-on systems or economy design experience.
  • Proven track record shipping live events or reruns and iterating from data and feedback.
  • Strong game design fundamentals across systems, balance, and progression.
  • Ability to translate goals into clear specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience defining and tuning economies, rewards, and grind-versus-reward pacing.
  • Comfort running structured playtests and turning insights into actionable changes.
  • Skilled at cross-functional leadership with Design, Engineering, QA, Art, and Marketing.
  • Excellent written documentation in Confluence or similar tools and clear async communication.
  • Fluency with Jira or similar workflows, roadmaps, and backlog prioritization.
  • Data literacy with spreadsheets and basic SQL or analytics tools to evaluate KPIs.
  • Experience preparing stakeholder reviews and securing sign-off on scope and changes.
  • Player-first mindset with strong UX instincts and the ability to reason from player outcomes.
  • Ability to configure event tooling or similar live-ops pipelines across Dev, Staging, and Prod.
  • Bonus: experience on a collectible, card, or ban-list driven game or competitive modes.
  • Bonus: A/B testing or experimental design experience for balance and economy changes.
  • Bonus: monetization design familiarity and sensitivity to player trust.
  • Bonus: comfort coordinating player-facing communications with Marketing or Community.
  • Bonus: portfolio or samples showing design docs, change logs, and outcome metrics.
