Description

  • Develop original social-first concepts based on brand objectives, audience behaviors, cultural moments, and platform trends.
  • Script, storyboard, shoot, interview, edit, and deliver short-form content from initial idea through final execution.
  • Establish visual direction across framing, lighting, styling, composition, props, sets, locations, and overall aesthetic.
  • Operate cameras, phones, lighting, audio equipment, and other production tools for quick-turn shoots and onsite events.
  • Edit short-form video, including pacing, sound design, music, graphics, captions, transitions, and platform-native techniques.
  • Direct creators, talent, and on-street personalities, and interview subjects at events.
  • Appear on camera or contribute voice, hands, or personality when concepts require on-screen participation.
  • Monitor social culture, platform features, creator behaviors, trends, and emerging content formats.
  • Review and refine content for quality, brand alignment, voice, visual identity, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with clients, copywriters, art directors, designers, motion teams, production partners, and delivery teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in content creation, social creative, video production, or a related creative discipline.
  • Portfolio demonstrating concept development and hands-on creation of social-first content.
  • Experience developing, shooting, and editing short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere or comparable video editing software.
  • Strong camera operation, lighting, audio, and sound design skills.
  • Experience directing creators, talent, or on-street personalities.
  • Comfort and willingness to appear on camera or contribute voice, hands, or personality as talent.
  • Strong understanding of social trends, platform behaviors, creator culture, and emerging formats.
  • Ability to take ideas from concept through final execution independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work quickly, experiment, iterate, and respond to feedback in a fast-moving social environment.
  • U.S. work authorization is required; DEPT® participates in E-Verify.
