Description

  • Lead technology due diligence with an integration or separation focus alongside private equity deal teams and company leaders.
  • Assess applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, identity, data, integrations, vendors, and operating models.
  • Identify dependencies, entanglements, stranded costs, risks, and constraints affecting valuation, Day 1, and value creation.
  • Estimate technology costs, investments, synergies, and timelines, and review technology transition service agreements.
  • Translate diligence findings into executable sign-to-close plans with decisions, owners, dependencies, milestones, and escalation points.
  • Define Day 1 requirements and develop application, infrastructure, data, identity, cybersecurity, and vendor transition plans.
  • Lead post-close integration or separation workstreams, including stabilization and TSA exit.
  • Provide IMO or SMO leadership and serve as an interim or fractional CIO when required.
  • Communicate technology risks and recommendations to investment committees, boards, executives, and technical teams.
  • Hold internal teams, vendors, and implementation partners accountable for delivery and business continuity.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of technology experience in enterprise strategy, operations, transformation, or delivery.
  • First-hand accountability for multiple technology integrations, separations, or carve-outs, including pre-close and post-close work.
  • Broad knowledge of applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, identity, data, integrations, IT service management, vendors, and operating models.
  • Ability to assess architecture and dependencies, challenge senior technology leaders, and make practical decisions across domains.
  • Experience with Day 1 planning, TSAs, application disposition, target operating models, technology roadmaps, and execution plans.
  • Commercial and financial fluency to estimate and explain one-time costs, run-rate costs, investments, synergies, and assumptions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating complex technology issues into investment and execution decisions.
  • Hands-on, self-directed approach with strong accountability for quality and client outcomes.
  • Ability to work remotely, collaborate across time zones, and travel to client sites as needed.
  • Preferred: CIO, CTO, technology leadership, private equity, transaction, standalone environment, TSA exit, or advisory experience; a relevant bachelor's degree or professional certifications are useful but not required.
