Description

  • Build and ship fullstack features across candidate and recruiter experiences, from API and data model design through frontend implementation.
  • Improve real-time AI-powered interview and assessment experiences, including model orchestration, streaming UX, tool calling, and reliability.
  • Integrate multiple LLM providers while managing latency, cost, observability, and non-deterministic behavior.
  • Develop deterministic internal tools that enable safe, repeatable, and auditable engineering workflows.
  • Partner with product, design, and platform teams to take ambiguous problems from definition through production rollout.
  • Lead code reviews and mentor less-experienced engineers.
  • Plan and deliver technical debt, architecture, and observability improvements.
  • Participate in on-call operations and improve runbooks, reliability practices, and incident follow-up.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience shipping production software end-to-end in a fullstack capacity.
  • Strong backend skills in a modern language and ecosystem, plus practical frontend experience with a component-based framework.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technology stacks and deliver in mixed-technology environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent.
  • Experience building production AI systems using LLM APIs, prompt and context design, streaming responses, tool/function calling, and cost-aware engineering.
  • Significant code review experience, including improving code quality and mentoring peers.
  • Experience reducing technical debt and contributing to architecture planning and documentation.
  • Experience owning production health through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and operational follow-through.
  • Experience with backlog preparation, scoping, sizing, and delivery planning alongside product and technical leads.
  • Strong fundamentals in testing, observability, debugging, safe incremental delivery, and remote written collaboration.
  • Relevant experience with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Java, Node/TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Redis/Sidekiq, AWS, GCP, or containerized environments is preferred.
  • Availability to work Pacific 7:00–16:00 overlap hours and participate in 24-hour on-call coverage for approximately one week every eight weeks.
