Description

  • Own the application architecture and delivery across the React frontend, Node.js backend, SQL database, APIs, and integrations.
  • Design, build, enhance, and maintain scalable, reliable application solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementations.
  • Make technical decisions balancing scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Contribute hands-on to complex development and implementation work.
  • Review code and technical designs for quality, standards, and best practices.
  • Mentor engineers and guide implementation approaches.
  • Resolve technical debt, performance bottlenecks, architectural gaps, security concerns, and complex production issues.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and other stakeholders throughout delivery.
  • Ensure testing, monitoring, logging, documentation, security practices, and production readiness.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software development experience, preferably in full-stack application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL.
  • Experience owning or serving in a key technical role for medium-to-large applications.
  • Experience across the full SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • React expertise in components, Hooks, state management, routing, reusable UI design, API integration, and frontend performance.
  • Node.js expertise in backend services, REST APIs, asynchronous programming, authentication/authorization, error handling, and logging.
  • Strong SQL skills, including relational database design, query writing, indexing, query optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, system integrations, application architecture, design principles, coding standards, and design patterns.
  • Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring engineers; strong debugging, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD, automated testing, microservices, security, observability, legacy modernization, or Agile/Scrum is preferred.
