Description

  • Maintain accurate financial records and post transactions to the general ledger.
  • Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and respond to bank inquiries.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist with financial performance reports for senior management.
  • Explain budget variances and support re-forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with auditors and financial analysts to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an international professional accounting qualification is required; professional qualification is preferred.
  • Strong financial management expertise is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
  • Highly proficient with Excel spreadsheets.
  • Experience in accounting or financial operations, including VAT reporting.
  • Experience building constructive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams, using own initiative to drive projects forward.
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong written English and professional stakeholder communication.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize work, solve problems, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of climate change, climate finance, and blockchain technology is preferred; experience in an international NGO is desirable but not required.
