Description

  • Independently review and negotiate investment-related NDAs, Engagement Letters, joinder agreements, and non-reliance letters.
  • Manage each stage of the contract process from initial review through execution.
  • Apply client playbooks to guide negotiation positions and document revisions.
  • Collaborate with global Avantia lawyers and paralegals on fast-paced, high-volume matters.
  • Communicate directly with counterparties to progress negotiations efficiently.
  • Prioritize multiple matters and competing deadlines while maintaining turnaround times.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and commercially pragmatic legal advice.
  • Provide quality service in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in any APAC jurisdiction, or an APAC-based expat with US/UK/European qualification.
  • Based in an APAC time zone due to client service needs.
  • 5+ years of corporate/transactional law experience in-house or in private practice.
  • Experience independently negotiating investment-related NDAs and Engagement Letters.
  • Familiarity with asset managers, investment banks, or other financial services firms is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong grasp of relevant legal concepts with a commercial and pragmatic outlook.
  • Availability to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing, high-volume environment.
