Description

  • Advise hedge fund and family office clients on portfolio and fund accounting matters.
  • Perform ongoing accounting tasks for fund portfolios, including pricing and accounting entries.
  • Process corporate actions, contributions, withdrawals, and other fund and partner activity.
  • Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly position, cash, market value, and accrual reconciliations.
  • Resolve accounting and trade breaks with administrators, prime brokers, and executing parties.
  • Review administrator NAV packages and update the portfolio accounting system as needed.
  • Maintain fund accruals, expenses, management fees, and incentive allocation calculations and schedules.
  • Prepare books and records, financial statements, partner allocations, and capital statements.
  • Support investor requests, reports, client reporting deliverables, and ad hoc requests.
  • Work on special projects and other areas of need as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in portfolio or fund accounting or middle office operations.
  • Experience with a hedge fund, family office, alternative investment management firm, or hedge fund administration firm.
  • Previous experience with portfolio and fund accounting software such as Eze, Advent, Aladdin, or Portia.
  • Knowledge of multi-asset sectors and investment types, including public equity (long/short), private equity, fixed income, and absolute return multi-strategy.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail and ability to take initiative.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the firm.
