Description

  • Conduct comprehensive investment and operational due diligence on fund managers and investment strategies.
  • Lead due diligence meetings and manager interviews across hedge funds, private markets, niche alternatives, and long-only portfolios.
  • Analyze investment process, portfolio construction, risk management, operational controls, performance attribution, and legal/regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare detailed due diligence reports and investment memos for investment committees and executive leadership.
  • Review pitch decks, DDQs, performance reports, risk disclosures, offering documents, and audited financials.
  • Assess operational infrastructure and controls across administrators, prime brokers, custodians, valuation, NAV, trade reconciliation, and back-office processes.
  • Evaluate risk management frameworks, including leverage, liquidity, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Sales, and Investments teams on negotiations, regulatory assessments, materials review, and client education.
  • Monitor existing manager relationships through ongoing due diligence, performance monitoring, and strategy drift analysis.
  • Build and maintain due diligence frameworks, scoring methodologies, peer comparison tools, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Hands-on leadership experience in Investment Management and Due Diligence.
  • Experience advising alternative asset firms and family office clients.
  • Ability to execute independently on assigned tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to professionally represent the firm.
  • Familiarity with alternative investments, asset classes, and strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.
