Description

  • Conduct cybersecurity best-practice reviews and develop actionable improvement plans.
  • Advise clients on security vendor selection, oversight, and emerging security technologies.
  • Create and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, controls, and organization-wide best practices.
  • Secure network, system, and application environments, including configuring firewalls and encryption tools.
  • Monitor network traffic, authentication logs, and real-time alerts to identify and investigate anomalies.
  • Lead vulnerability management, annual cybersecurity assessments, penetration testing, and threat research.
  • Execute incident response activities to identify, contain, and prevent security breaches or data misuse.
  • Test and analyze business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Track client progress using KPIs and scoring matrices, and prepare security and compliance reports for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Sciences, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Cybersecurity Analyst experience at a hedge fund or family office.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, maintaining, and operating cybersecurity programs in an alternatives investment environment.
  • One or more relevant certifications, such as CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GNFA, GREM, or related SANS certifications.
  • Experience with security tools such as Splunk Cloud, Rapid7 Nexpose, Sophos Antivirus, Varonis DatAlert, ForeScout CounterACT, or similar products.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Azure, Active Directory, SQL, Office 365, and Windows Server and desktop environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of SIEM, network security monitoring, attack investigation, packet analysis, log analysis, and security event review.
  • Experience implementing or enforcing security and compliance frameworks, including NIST, COBIT, and ISO.
  • Strong written, presentation, and communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Availability for as-needed, project-based client engagements.
