Description

  • Build, scale, and optimize operating infrastructure across alternative investment firms.
  • Oversee front-to-back office functions, including operations, finance, compliance, and technology.
  • Drive operational efficiency, process improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with CIOs, founders, and senior leadership on firm strategy and execution.
  • Lead organizational design, vendor selection, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Support growth, transformation, and turnaround initiatives as client needs arise.
  • Deliver strategic, project-based leadership on an as-needed basis through Arootah’s advisor network.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Chief Operating Officer or equivalent senior leadership role.
  • Experience working within a hedge fund, private equity firm, or family office.
  • Deep understanding of investment firm operations and infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of scaling businesses, building teams, and driving execution.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in dynamic environments.
  • Availability for project-based contract work through an advisor network.
  • Experience in the alternative investment industry is required.
  • $250 - $375 an hour compensation.
