We have an exciting opportunity for a WordPress Developer with excellent PHP and WordPress experience to join a small team for one world’s most-installed WordPress plugins, UpdraftPlus (see www.updraftplus.com).

UpdraftPlus are launching an all-in-one security plugin that requires new developers to come on board. As this position will be working on this security plugin, applications from those with relevant knowledge and experience is encouraged.

Other useful experience will may include WooCommerce and front end UI work – please mention in your application your relevant experience.

You’d be working together with the company director who is also the software architect together with a small team of others involved in development and marketing.

Responsibilities breakdown

Our needs divide into the following areas, and your exact responsibilities will depend on your experience, how this fits with other members of the team and subject to discussion and agreement!

Experience with the below is required:

PHP – you’d be coding UpdraftPlus or WP Optimize, plus fragments for managing the website, plus UpdraftCentral
WordPress plugin development – ideally you’ll have a bit of experience of this, but if not a willingness to learn
WooCommerce (nice but not necessary – please mention any experience in application)
User Experience skills (nice but not necessary – please mention any experience in application)
JavaScript (optional)
GitHub / GitLab / Git – nice to have, but can be learnt quickly by good developers used to alternatives like SVN.
